Q: Why do you work at The Village Network?

A: I always knew that I wanted to work in a “helping profession.” I love working with kids. The Village Network has offered me an opportunity to make an impact while empowering youth.

Q: What is a typical day like for you?

A: There is not a “typical day” as every day is a new adventure. My focus is on the kids first and foremost, the meetings, paperwork and constant demand come second.

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?

A: The kids. Seeing them simply be kids, with smiles on their faces mixed with those light bulb moments.

Q: What do you wish other people knew about The Village Network?

A: That these are not “bad kids.” They come from a history of trauma that has hugely impacted them and their behavior.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: I enjoy spending time with my friends and my family. I do my best to relax by spending time outdoors, walking and hiking.

Q: Tell me a fun fact about yourself- we want to know what makes you, you!

A: I love to travel. My happy place is the ocean. However, I also have joined my husband’s mission to see every baseball stadium in the United States. He has seen 19 and I have seen 13 with two planned this fall.
