National Advocacy Organization Visits The Village Network
WOOSTER – President of the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities Susan Dreyfus visited The Village Network Boys’ Village Campus to learn how to better advocate for Ohio’s children and families in Washington D.C.
The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities is a national organization that represents and supports a network of hundreds of nonprofit human-serving organizations across North America. Dreyfus or one of her staff frequently travel to visit member locations. The Village Network is a member of the alliance.
“They’re a big organization, and they’re coming to get feedback on what the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities should be advocating for in Washington for our kids and for our programs,” said Dave Paxton, chief clinical officer at The Village Network.
Dreyfus was at The Village Network from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and met with The Village Network’s executive leadership and regional directors. In addition to attending meetings, Dreyfus also toured The Village Network Boys’ Village Campus.
“To know we have The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities speaking for our kids and their families in a city where so much change happens is truly great,” President and CEO of The Village Network Richard Graziano said. “I’m looking forward to meeting with Susan Dreyfus to discuss how we can continue to better the lives of the families and children we serve on a national level.”
Since 1946, The Village Network has helped generations of at-risk boys and girls become productive, responsible youth. Together with families, support agencies and communities, it prepares youth to embrace new lives. The Village Network serves more than 950 children and their families every day.
