The Village Network’s Annual Celebration Day Is July 14
WOOSTER — This year’s Celebration Day, a time for The Village Network’s youth and the community to come together to have fun, will be from noon to 4 p.m. July 14 at the Wooster Residential Campus on Akron Road.
Celebration Day is a time to highlight the programs of the organization and showcase the achievements of the at-risk youth in care of The Village Network, and all while having a fun time in a carnival-like setting. This year’s event is sponsored by Farmer’s National Bank and will feature inflatables, clowns, face painting, children’s crafts, magic, music, games, activities, and more.
At last year’s Celebration Day, youth from The Village Network made lemonade and cookies themselves, and they sold their homemade products to raise money for their program. The young entrepreneurs will be back for this year’s Celebration Day selling root-beer floats and funnel cakes.
A free lunch will be served, and guests will have a chance to win four tickets to Cedar Point. An art auction will also take place where visitors can purchase works of art along with custom wooden tables created by youth at The Village Network.
Come celebrate with The Village Network and its partners who support our mission and help improve the lives of children and families every day. Joining us this year, will be the Wooster police and fire departments, Lowe’s Home Improvement and Girl Scouts Of Ohio’s Heartland.
The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. at the Wooster Residential Campus, 2803 Akron Road, Wooster. Handicapped parking is available. General parking will be at the rear entrance off Geyer’s Chapel Road.
There is no cost to attend Celebration Day, however, those planning to attend should register online to make sure there is enough food for guests. To register, visit https://www.thevillagenetwork.org/celebration.
