As our communities work together to navigate the stress and uncertainty that the COVID-19 crisis brings, we know that access to vital mental health services is more critical than ever.
That’s why The Village Network has remained steadfast in our commitment to caring for the emotional needs of the youth and families we serve during this pandemic. From offering our counseling services via a telehealth platform, to reaching out to the staff and parents of the 90 schools throughout Ohio where we provide services to offer our assistance during the school closures, we’re doing everything we can to help meet the mental health needs of the communities we serve.
In 2019, we provided $243,645 in care to those who were unable to pay or underinsured. As businesses have been forced to close and people are unable to work, we anticipate an increased need to provide mental health services to our communities’ most vulnerable.
But we can’t do this alone. As a nonprofit organization, we need your help to meet the increasing demand and challenges that COVID-19 brings.
In response to the outbreak, The Village Network COVID-19 Emergency Fund has been activated. This fund is a flexible funding source that allows our organization to cover the unanticipated financial demands caused by COVID-19, including additional support for the youth and families we serve, critical mental health services to those who are facing economic hardship, and the increased demand for technology to ensure our youth, families and staff remain safe.
