Our Vision
As clinicians, teachers, caregivers, and organizations are trained by the NCTC, children are increasingly in healthy relationships, surrounded by caring adults who are present, attentive, attuned, and responsive.1

Meet Our Chief Learning Officer: David Paxton, LISW-S

David Paxton, LISW-S, is the Chief Learning Officer for The Village Network (TVN) in Ohio. With decades of experience in behavioral and mental health programs, treatment foster care, and outpatient services, our team provides critical support to children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
Under Mr. Paxton’s leadership, The Village Network has become a leader in reducing the use of physical restraints and other high-risk interventions, while upholding clinical integrity and evidence-based practices. We are also the first organization in Ohio to become certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics by Dr. Bruce Perry, as well as the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) approach by Think:Kids.
Not only does Mr. Paxton hold a B.A. from DePaul University and an M.A. in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago, but he has also conducted hundreds of trainings at both local and national conferences and co-authored published research articles. As a certified mentor in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, he guides our center in offering NMT training and other innovative mental health training programs.
