The Village Network Transitions Annual Fundraiser to Online Auction
(Wooster, OH) Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Village Network is transitioning its annual fundraiser to an online auction. Anchored 2020, a Sweet Jubilation event, was originally scheduled for the evening of Saturday, October 10 at the Greystone Event Center in Wooster.
To ensure the safety of The Village Network’s supporters and staff while still providing supporting the youth and families of The Village Network, the auction will still take place online.
Beginning on Saturday, October 10 and continuing through Saturday, October 17, members of the community are invited to bid on exciting auction items donated by generous business partners and organizations throughout Ohio. During the week, online guests will learn more about The Village Network’s art, music and movement therapy programs and the positive impact these therapies provide to our youth as they work towards building brighter futures.
“We are so grateful for our sponsors, including Crossbridge Marketing, Farmers National Bank, Don & Nadine Foster, Dunkin Donuts, Gallagher, Keystone Technology Consultants, Medical Mutual, and the Western Reserve Group, and their ongoing support of our youth during this challenging time,” said Richard Graziano, President & CEO of The Village Network. “It is not lost on us that many businesses are facing difficult times right now, and we truly appreciate their donations to help support these vital therapy programs.”
“Plus, an anonymous donor is kicking off our online auction event with a matching gift donation, adds Graziano. “They will match every dollar raised, up to $12,500, for up to a total of $25,000.”
Dave Paxton, Chief Clinical Officer, underscores the importance of supporting the therapeutic activities supported by the Anchored 2020 Online Auction.
“For youth in crisis, traditional counseling needs to be supplemented with a variety of therapeutic activities, including art, music and movement therapies,” says Paxton. “With the stress of the coronavirus, the traumatized youth we serve need your support now more than ever.”
Donations of auction items are being accepted through September 25. To donate an auction item or learn about sponsorship opportunities, please call 330-202-3900 or email info@thevillagenetwork.com.
